CalFresh Performance Goals & Customer Service Standards

California Food Policy Advocates (CFPA) and the SF-Marin Food Bank (SFMFB) envision a healthy and food secure California for all residents. To this end, we must do all we can to boost CalFresh participation. California should set the expectation for statewide performance and customer service in order to help ensure consistent CalFresh access and customer service quality regardless of geographic location.

CFPA and SF-Marin Food Bank propose the establishment of statewide  performance goals and customer service standards for CalFresh. In addition, publicly available, state and county-level measures of performance and service should be used as a program management tool to periodically measure progress toward meeting these standards and goals.
