Breakfast in the Classroom On the Air

Published on Apr 13, 2012 in Child Nutrition, School-Aged Children

4.13.2012 Tomorrow night, Saturday, April 14 at 8pm, the Food Network in partnership with the Share Our Strength No Kid Hungry campaign will premiere Hunger Hits Home, a documentary that tells the story of three American families in different parts of the country facing hunger. In this 1-hour special we take a first-hand look at the crisis of childhood hunger in America through the eyes of the parents, children, activists, educators and politicians on the frontlines of the battle. The film also features work with Compton Unified School District to bring Breakfast in the Classroom to its students. This is a must see for all anti-hunger advocates. See it. Share it. Support it.
