CFPA Releases Nutrition and LCAP Resources

Published on Dec 6, 2016 in Child Nutrition, School-Aged Children

12.06.16 CFPA reached out to school districts across California to hear how they are supporting nutrition and academic success with the Local Control Funding Formula. We learned that many school districts are already commited to utilizing nutrition strategies to support student success.

Unfortunately, others need help making the connection. Today, CFPA is releasing several resources to support districts in meeting their student’s nutritional needs. The resources include our LCAP guide which serves as a starting point for school districts who are interested in incorporating nutrition into their Local Control and Accountability Plan.

We are proud to share this set of resources with you. These resources were made possible with the generous support of The California Endowment, the input of dozens of school food service directors, and the expertise of members of the California Local School Wellness Policy Collaborative, and anti-hunger advocates accross California.
