5.25.2012 AB 1781 (Brownley) Boost School Meal Participation: Lining Up to Remove Stigma was held in the Assembly Appropriations suspense file today. While the bill will not make further progress this year, CFPA will continue working with the California Department of Education and other stakeholders to ensure that stigma in the cafeteria is removed. All students deserve to be treated equally and CFPA looks forward to future efforts focused on increasing access to and participation in the school meal programs. A big thanks to all the supporters of the bill.
