4.23.2015 The Breakfast After the Bell bill (Bonta & Thurmond) passed the Assembly Education Committee on Wednesday, April 22 with a bipartisan vote of 6-0. A great thanks to all of our supporters who submitted letters and made it to the hearing.

Supporting testimony was provided by Barbara Friedrich, Principal at Stanley Mosk Elementary School in Los Angeles, and Rodney Taylor, Director of Nutrition Services for Riverside Unified School District. Both spoke to the benefits of serving breakfast after the bell from a student health, academic and fiscal perspective. Thanks to Barbara and Rodney for their excellent testimony!
