Sugar Bites. Choose Water Instead.

Published on Jun 10, 2013 in Child Nutrition, School-Aged Children

6.10.2013 First 5 Contra Costa and Healthy + Active Before 5 Collaborative launch a new health campaign, Sugar Bites, to encourage parents to choose water over sugary beverages.

The campaign features a scary looking soda can with menacing teeth that draws attention to the high sugar content in sodas, juice drinks, flavored milk, and sports drinks and the health consequences related to the consumptions of these sugar sweetened beverages, like diabetes and tooth decay. Protect your kids – give theme water instead.
