Governor Brown takes action on Water Legislation

10.20.2015  Governor Brown signs AB-496: Pupil Nutrition Funding for Drinking Water

Earlier this month, Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. signed into law several legislative bills to strengthen groundwater management and improve water quality.  Among the bills signed to support water quality included, AB-496: Pupil Nutrition Funding for Drinking Water, which requires the California Department of Education (CDE) to identify available sources of funding to fund water quality and infrastructure. The bill also requires the CDE to post the information on its Internet website.  For a complete list of the water legislation signed by Governor Brown visit the link: here
