5.8.2012 California Department of Education Nutrition Services Division (CDE NSD) is hosting a suite of trainings and webinars to support districts as they transition to the new meal pattern.

Trainings

Make It Right! Lunch Menu Planning Workshops: The current series of workshops will continue through June 1. Due to the popular response, the NSD is planning additional workshops during June and through the summer. The workshops provide child nutrition directors and menu planners the opportunity to apply the food-based menu planning (FBMP) approach to their current lunch menus. While some sessions are full, many still have space available. Please note: Registration is limited to two people per agency for the workshop series. If you contract with a Food Service Management Company (FSMC) or vendor for your menu planning, we recommend that their representative attend the session with you; however, FSMCs and vendors cannot attend this training in lieu of School Food Authorities (SFA).
