High Impact Nutrition Standards

Published on Aug 18, 2016 in Child Nutrition, Young Children

08.18.2016 Today, CFPA released a fact sheet introducing high impact nutrition standards that account for the practical realities faced by licensed family child care home providers. The nutrition standards were developed in partnership with the University of California’s Nutrition Policy Institute (NPI). A pilot of the standards will occur over the next year in licensed family child care homes (FCCH) to measure their effectiveness at enhancing the quality of nutrition in FCCHs, feasibility of use by FCCH providers, and their suitability for regional or state policy.
