AB 1872 (Alejo) Passes Senate Appropriations Committee!

by

8.17.2012 AB 1872 Improving Child Care Nutrition was taken off suspense and passed the Senate Appropriations Committee on Thursday, August 16. AB 1872 sets the same minimum nutrition standard for foods served in licensed family day care homes as is currently required in all licensed child care centers and requires licensing authorities to inform all child care providers about the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). AB 1872 ensures that children experience the benefits of healthy meals and snacks and supports child care providers' financial stability.

Take Action!
AB 1872 needs your continued support to move off the Senate Floor. We've prepared an AB 1872 Floor Alert. Please email or fax a copy to your Senator and encourage an Aye vote!
