Update: CalFresh Forum Registration is
Now Open!
Registration for the 2013 CalFresh Forum is now
open! You can register online and find out more about the Forum by visiting the
CalFresh Forum page.
This year there will be a $10 registration fee to
help cover the rising costs of organizing and hosting the Forum. The
registration fee includes your attendance, lunch and light breakfast service. If
the registration fee would prevent you from participating in the forum, please let us know. We will do our best to accommodate your
needs.
As in years past, the CalFresh Forum will bring
together hundreds of key stakeholders from across the state to discuss
strategies and opportunities to improve the reach and impact of CalFresh. This
year's theme, innovative strategies for maximizing client experience and
retention, will be reflected in the plenary speaker and workshop sessions.
Details about the event, including workshop topics,
are now available.

Six Days Until the Election! CFPA
Supports Prop 30
With the election just around the corner, CFPA would
like to encourage all of our Nutrition Action Alert readers to cast their votes.
We'd also like to remind you of our endorsement of California's Proposition 30.
Prop 30 offers a reasonable short-term revenue
solution to help close California's budget shortfall and prevent deep cuts to
education. Prop 30 brings California closer to achieving a state budget that
allows for the continued investment in nutrition and in the overall well-being of
low-income Californians. A stable budget helps advance new initiatives and
proposals that will ultimately benefit California and its low-income residents.
